ICSOC 2026

The 24th International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing

Call for Research Projects Exhibition

ICSOC 2026 features a Research Projects Exhibition, inviting researchers and practitioners to present ongoing and future research projects in the broad area of Service-Oriented Computing.

The track provides a forum for disseminating intermediate research results, presenting innovative project ideas, and receiving constructive feedback on ongoing activities and emerging research proposals. It also offers an opportunity to foster collaborations between academia and industry, establish new research partnerships, and explore potential synergies among projects addressing related challenges.

The Research Projects Exhibition welcomes contributions from national and international research initiatives, including projects funded by the European Union, national and regional funding agencies, universities, research institutions, and industry.

Authors are invited to submit papers describing the objectives, research challenges, methodologies, expected contributions, and preliminary or achieved results of their projects. Submissions describing future research project proposals are also encouraged, particularly when they identify emerging challenges and opportunities for collaboration within the Service-Oriented Computing community.

Eligible Research Projects

The track welcomes a wide range of research initiatives, regardless of their funding status, including:

  • Funded research projects: Projects supported by European, international, national, or regional funding programs, as well as universities, research institutions, and industry.
  • Fundamental and applied research projects: Initiatives addressing theoretical foundations, methods, technologies, or practical applications of Service-Oriented Computing.
  • Collaborative research projects: Projects conducted by international consortia, national research teams, or academia-industry partnerships.
  • Ongoing research projects: Initiatives presenting intermediate results, preliminary findings, developed methods, prototypes, or lessons learned.
  • Future research project proposals: Research ideas and planned initiatives outlining new research directions, expected outcomes, and opportunities for collaboration.

Both early-stage and advanced research projects are encouraged to participate.

Submission Guidelines

Papers should be submitted via EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icsoc2026) by selecting the "ICSOC 2026 Research Project Exhibition" track. Each submission should include the following:

  • Project's full name, acronym (if applicable), duration or expected timeline, participating organizations, funding information (if applicable), and URL (if available).
  • Names of presenter(s) and main contributors.
  • Abstract and keywords.
  • Summary of project objectives, research challenges, proposed methodology, and expected outcomes.
  • Relevance of the project (or one of its work packages) to the topics of the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing.
  • For ongoing projects, a summary of the current status and intermediate results; for future project proposals, a description of the expected outcomes and potential impact.

Formatting instructions: TBA

Each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee. In case of disagreement, a third member of the Program Committee may be invited to review the submission. The Program Committee will comprise international researchers with expertise in Service-Oriented Computing and related fields. Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevance to Service-Oriented Computing, clarity of research objectives, scientific or technological contributions, and expected impact.

Attendance and Presentation

Authors of accepted papers will present their research projects during the Research Projects Exhibition session at ICSOC 2026. Details about the session format and instructions for preparing presentations will be communicated after the acceptance notification. At least one author of each accepted submission is required to register for the conference (full registration) and present their work.

The registration covering the paper should be distinct from any other registration of the same author for any other work accepted in the main conference, symposium, or workshops.
